Matouš and Šimon Michal play violins built in master workshops of Akord Kvint!
This fact only confirms the top quality of master violins built by Jan Lorenz, Karel Poplštein, Jan Fronk and Petr Rácz.
Matouš has won the Kocian violin competition three times and became its laureate in 2008. Moreover, he is the holder of numerous important awards from Concertino Praga, an international competition in Dubai or the Mistr J. Muzika competition. This young talented player has chosen a master violin built by Karel Poplštein and is going to take it to Meadowmount School of Music, New York state, the most famous summer music school, where he is going to study in professor Ch. Avsharian´s class.
Just like his brother, Šimon, who has also won Kocianova violin competition three times as well, becoming the laureate in 2009, is also a winner of other important awards. He plays a master violin built by Jan Lorenz, master luthier, and he as well is going to travel with his new instrument to Meadowmont School of Music. Both Šimon and Matouš received full scholarship to study at this highly recognised summer music school.
